Likely, no. They better leave the opening scene in it, where the fighter jet shoots down the drug plane. Liberals will probably cut it and re-do the book.

Now that i think about it, it might be the wrong book. The plane shootdown might have happened in "Clear and Present Danger" it's hard to remember. I do remember Clancy had
another character, set in the late 60's I believe who goes on a "The Executioner" jag.

"Without Remorse" is the origin story of John Clark who becomes a CIA operator and eventually commander of the anti-terrorist unit Rainbow Six. The story begins
in 1970 and he eventually goes on to meet Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford's character) in “Clear and Present Danger” (the one set in Columbia with the drug lords, where
he was played by Willem Dafoe) and afterward he’s a regular character in the stories.
No reason the character can’t be a Black guy but we all know this is just another case
of Hollywood needlessly changing a story/character for politically correct virtue signaling.

In C&PD, the military clandestinely dropped a JDAM on a drug lord's
mansion while he was having a summit with the heads of all the cartels.

I honestly don't understand why they can't do that in real-life. War is war, drugs, geography, whatever. The FBI did it in WACO.
